Meet Ben Keathley
FAMILY
Ben has lived in Chesterfield for over thirty years. Jenny, his wife, grew up in Ellisville, graduated from Maryville University, and works as a registered nurse. Jenny and Ben have two children.
PERSONAL
Ben attended Rockwood schools before attending Knox College in Galesburg, IL., where he was an academic all-conference baseball player and President of the Young Republicans. After graduating, Ben earned a law degree and a Master's degree in Public Policy from Syracuse University.
PROFESSIONAL
Ben was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2013. In 2015, he opened his law practice in Chesterfield where he represents clients in a wide variety of legal matters focusing on contracts and family law.
POLITICAL
Ben was first elected to the Chesterfield City Council in 2017. He completed two terms fighting to preserve your neighborhoods and keeping your taxes low. In addition to being a staunch fiscal conservative, Ben fought against the Better Together city-county merger. He also fought to keep services and businesses operating amidst St. Louis County’s Covid overreach. He was elected and served two terms as Chairman of the Public Health and Safety Committee.
Ben was elected to serve as State Representative for the 101st District in 2020. In his first two years, he was Missouri’s leader for the Senior Property Tax Freeze—twice, and Ben stopped cities from assessing taxes on your streaming services.
